Thanks to the wonderful partnership between Szabolcs Kókay, wildlife artist and World Shorebirds Day, here is another stunning shorebird logo, this time, for the Global Shorebird Counting Program. This logo will be used in all materials related to Global Shorebird Counting. Dunlin, the logo bird with global distribution, will most probably be seen in many of the sites registered for the counting event in September.
We have less than a month left until we go out and enjoy finding shorebirds on our local path or chosen sites. So far 126 sites have been registered and a lot more are expected to come in the next three weeks. We will rund adverts and ask supporting organisations for reaching their members for an even broader participation. So far there have been little interest in participating in the counting in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and most of the European countries, but I hope it will change.
In case you haven’t registered yet, please visit our Global Shorebird Counting page (which now have been translated into several languages) and follow the guideline.
